Dry Fruit Modak

Enjoy a guilt free festival this season with these Dry Fruit Modak.

These healthy modaks are sweetened by dates and a little crunchiness comes from roasted nuts. They can be either shaped into modak or into a laddoo, choice is yours.

In this post I have used a combination of Almonds, Cashews, Walnuts and Pistachios . You can totally customize them and add your preferred nuts and dried fruits. Use this recipe as base and build your own as per your liking.

I have not added any sugar in this recipe, all the sweetness comes from the dates. Just make sure the dates are soft if not you can soak them in hot water for few minutes to soften.

About storing them,,,,they stay good for almost 3-4 days in room temperature and 2 weeks in the refrigerator. Just store them in a clean air tight container and serve as required.
