Ingredients
100 grms broccoli
8-10 shallots/1 small onion
1 bay leaf
salt to taste
1 cup water
1 tsp oil
1 tsp minced garlic
½ tsp chilli flakes
½ tsp crushed pepper
1 tbsp coconut milk (optional)
Directions
- Into a saucepan add broccoli, shallots or a small onion, bay leaf, salt, water and boil for 10-12 mins or till the broccoli is soft, on medium to low flame.
- Let this mixture cool and then blend into a smooth puree using the sock from the boiled veggies.
- Heat some oil in a pan, add in the garlic and sauté till slightly brown
- Pour the broccoli puree and mix well.
- Add in some chilli flakes, coarsely ground pepper and coconut milk (optional) and mix well.
- Add more water and adjust the consistency if required. Serve hot!
