Apple Salad with Candies Walnuts and Cranberries

This salad’s ready to celebrate. Thinly sliced crispy apples, candied walnuts, cranberries and lettuce tossed with simple vinaigrette.

This is totally a show-off salad……Its tasty, pretty and interesting. That’s thanks to a combination of simple, flavorful ingredients. Together, they make a festive holiday salad that’s a celebration of food and flavor.

In this recipe I have used both red and green apples, which gives a sweet and tangy flavor. However, you could go with either of them. Just make sure to drizzle them with lime after cutting to stop them from browning.

The dressing is very simple as we don’t want it to steal the show with all the fabulous textures and flavors going in. It’s just a basic vinaigrette dressing.

For candied walnuts you can refer to my Mandarin Orange Salad. You can also replace walnuts with pine nuts or almonds. Adding nuts gives this salad an added crunch to it.

The best part about his salad is that you can prep the ingredients individually and combine all just before serving.

Well to sum up this salad is fresh and bright with the zingy dressing, the crisp sweet juiciness of apple, and the lettuce, with added flavor and textures from the cranberries and the crunch of the candied walnuts. Perfect for a festive gathering.

It’s quick easy and simple. Do give this a try!
