About

Hey there! I’m Tina, author and photographer of this blog.

“Tina’s Kitchen Diaries” is my little corner of interest and passion.

What started as a casual hobby while in college has now grown into a full blown passion. Cooking for my family, friends or just myself is something I have always enjoyed. Seeing how veggies, meat and spices combine to give those gorgeous flavors makes me really happy. Hearing people say “this is amazing” or “these taste really good” or seeing people’s eyes light up when they eat my food really motivates me to constantly experiment different recipes.

Although born and bred in Bangalore, my parental roots are in Mangalore “a Bunt” by native, which also happens to be my favorite cuisine. So do watch out for my special Mangalorean Cuisine section.  I find cooking relaxing. I love talking to friends and family about food and sharing recipes.

In my personal life I am a mother of two absolutely amazing daughters with a very supportive husband. From a full-time working woman who had loads of extra-curricular activities up her sleeve to a stay-at-home-mom, not sure when my hobby turned into my passion, but I would tag that to Motherhood as my quest for healthy and delicious recipes had me experimenting with food just to see my kids relish it. I do take the photographs myself for my blog & must admit that I discovered it only after I started this blog that this could be quite a challenge, as I do believe that we eat with our eyes first.

In this space I will share fresh, flavorful, fun and (mostly) healthy recipes that I like to make in real, actual everyday life. Rest assured if I wouldn’t make it in real life, I wouldn’t put it in my blog. I love to try new food and create a twist to the existing recipes. Also watch out for my Instagram account for some posts on Tips and Tricks…

I hope you enjoy browsing through my various collection of recipes and also try making them. Don’t forget to let me know if you try any 🙂

Happy Cooking!!!!!!
