Herb Garlic Butter is compound butter made with fresh garlic and dried mixed herbs.

Ingredients

  • 200gms butter, salted/unsalted

  • 10-15 garlic cloves, grated or crushed

  • 1tsp dried mixed herb

Directions

  • Into a medium-sized bowl add the room temperature butter, garlic and dried mixed herb. Using a whisk or fork combine till all the ingredients are incorporated. Now transfer into clean glass container and refrigerate until use.

Notes

  • Make sure the butter is at room temperature and not completely melted. Just that it makes it easier to incorporate all the ingredients.
  • You can also use garlic powder instead of fresh garlic. However fresh garlic enhances the flavor.
  • You can mix and match the herbs, just make sure you use some aromatic herbs.
  • Store this butter in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks, or in the freezer for up to 6 months.
  • You can either grate the garlic or crush it. Totally depends on your preference.
  • I tend to use salted butter however, you can use unsalted butter and add salt according to your preference.
